Walk the Riverwalk

The City of Manistee's Riverwalk follows the Manistee River for over one and one-half miles.  Extending from the Beautiful shores of Lake Michigan through the heart of Manistee, this walkway is designed to be enjoyed by everyone with universal access at six different location.
Starting West as Douglas Park/First Street Beach the Riverwalk spans from Lake Michigan to the City Marina, allowing the visitor to feel the natural beauty of the area.
From the City Marina to the American Legion the Riverwalk runs through the heart of the Downtown Historic Business District.  A highlight is walking under the two Bascule Bridges.
The North Bank Riverwalk is adjacent to Memorial Park home of the Farmer's Market and the Jaycee's Bandshell.  Summer concerts are held regularly.
Numerous benches are located along the Riverwalk.  Sit and enjoy watching a Great Lake Freighter come through the channel.
The Riverwalk is for pedestrian use only.  Rollerblades/skates, skateboards and bicycles are not allowed.  No pets, please!
